Maria Angelica Lopez (Saenz)
Maria Angelica Lopez was born November 17th 1927 in Laredo Texas to Nicolaza (Martinez) Lopez and father Juan Lopez. She married Rafael Saenz Jr. on June 1st 1952 in Laredo, Texas. Angelica Saenz passed away October 17, 2017, in Lafayette, Louisiana, at 89 years old after a short illness.
Mrs. Saenz is survived by her husband Rafael Saenz Jr. of Georgetown, Texas; her son Rafael Saenz III and daughter-in-law Betty (Raetzsch) Saenz of Leander, Texas; her son Juan (John) Jose Saenz of Georgetown, TX; her daughter Angelica Wassik and son-in-law Michael Wassik of Lafayette, LA; and her grandchildren Kara Saenz of Rifle, CO; Jason Wassik of Austin, TX; Justin Wassik of Austin, TX and Jonathan Wassik of Lafayette, LA and step grandchildren Yvonne Cruz of Pflugerville; Yvette Saragosa of Leander and David Amos Schmidt II of Leander.
A Celebration of Angelica’s life Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church . Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
