David Rico Sandoval, age 68, passed away June 22, 2017. He was born on June 10, 1949 to Jose C.H. Sandoval and Rufina Sandoval in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Moody High School in 1969. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. David was a Specialist and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
He married his wife of forty eight years on September 25, 1971. David R. Sandoval was employed by the Corpus Christi Army Depot.
David Rico Sandoval is preceded in death by his father, Jose C. H. Sandoval, mother, Rufina Sandoval and brother, Jose Sandoval, Jr.
David is survived by his wife, Maria Delia Sandoval, daughters, Maria H. Rosas, Sandra L. Sandoval, son, David Sandoval, Jr., daughter-in-law, Heather Sandoval, siblings, Manuel Sandoval (Gracie Sandoval), Alfredo Sandoval (Rachel Sandoval), Felix Sandoval (Linda Sandoval), Richard Sandoval, sister, Mary Lou Rodriguez, grandchildren, Lori Ann Rosas, Desirae Adriana Rosas, Andrea Dolores Sandoval, David Andrew Bonifacio Sandoval, John Adrian Gonzales, great-grandchildren, Aden Townzen, Analia Serenity Townzen, Mia Nevaeh Garza and Ema Rae Garza.
