Hector Eloy Ramos, age 72, passed away January 1, 2018. He was born on November 12, 1945 to Pedro and Elia Ramos in San Diego, TX. He was raised in Orange Grove, TX. and graduated from Orange Grove High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force from December 1965 to November 1969 as Sargent and as an Aircraft Mechanic.
Hector was employed by BHP Engineering and Construction, L.P. for over 20 years. Hector was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and nephew. He will always be remembered for his love of music and nature.
Hector is preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Y. Ramos, father, Pedro Ramos and Mother, Elia L. Ramos. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Elia (Rosi) Ramos of Houston, TX and Belma G. Laso of Corpus Christi, TX., son, Freddy Gonzales (Linda) of Corpus Christi, TX., seven sisters, Petra R. Garza of Pflugerville, TX., Dora R. Mata (Jerry) of Wylie, TX., Elva R. Lamb (Richard) of Angleton, TX., Elvia Munoz (Gabriel) of Corpus Chirsit, TX., Sylvia R. Villa (Kenneth) of Orange Grove, TX., Rosie Monsevais (Frank) of Kingsville, TX. and Cindy Pawelek (Glenn) of Orange Grove, TX., eight grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
