Ryan Maxwell Ray, 35, passed away on October 16, 2017, in California. He was born on April 15, 1982, in Corpus Christi, TX, to Vicki Lynn Boyls-Ray and Cleo Norris Ray. Ryan was raised in Corpus Christi, graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 2000, studied pre-physical therapy at Del Mar College and business management at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Throughout high school, Ryan was very active in sports including Varsity Linebacker and All South Texas Honorable Mention in his senior year.

Ryan was musically gifted and played the drums, guitar and formed the rock band Orion Dive in 1998 - 2000. His band played at many of the local bars, backyard house parties and recorded a demo album in Austin, TX.

Ryan worked as a physical therapy tech for several years at Humpal Physical Therapy and then CCMC - Doctor’s Regional.

Ryan packed his surfboard and suitcase into his Corvette in 2010 and headed to Southern California to pursue his desire for great surfing, a personal fitness training career, modeling and acting careers. His professional career was comprised of book covers, commercials, magazines, music videos, advertising, and TV shows.

Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Victoria Boyls, Carl “Buck” Ray, June and Bill Roundtree. He is survived by his parents Vicki Lynn Boyls-Ray and Cleo Ray, his stepmother Jeannie Ray, his brother Carl Ray, his stepfather Ross Bunting and stepbrother Harrison Bunting. Ryan was also in a loving and meaningful relationship with Ms. Bea Beautynit of California.

A memorial service and celebration of Ryan’s life will be on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 3:30PM, at the Seaside Memorial Park, Reid Chapel, in Corpus Christi, TX.
