Mr. Rose was my band director at Hamlin Jr. High in the late 1960's. He was a fine teacher and I very much appreciated his musicianship and leadership in the band. He prepared me for the transition to Mary Carroll High School where I greatly enjoyed working with Mr. Arnold. I pursued a professional career in music and have played bassoon professionally for over 40 years. I thank Mr. Rose for inspiring me to go forward with music. I didn't know until just now that we shared the same birthday, twenty years apart. RIP, Mr. Rose. Jeffrey Marchand, Assistant Principal Bassoon, New York City Opera Orchestra.

Terry was a dear friend and always had a way of making me laugh. He had a very generous heart. At Chula Vista he treated the teachers to a luncheon out of friendship. He'd come for visits to say hello at our home. My boys send their condolences because he taught each of them at Chula Vista. He even taught my husband at Northside Jr. High. So, thank you, Terry, for being a good friend. Rest In Peace and rejoice with Theron once again.

Mr. Rose was my band director at Hamlin Jr. High in the early/mid-80's. He taught me how to play clarinet. He was always one of my favorite teachers and I will always remember him fondly. My condolences go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

Our family is so indebted to Terry Rose for all his good deeds and friendship to us over the years. We loved him dearly and truly respected him by always calling him Mr. Rose. We pray that your family will find peace and comfort knowing he is in a much better place, free from this earth's limitations. He too always gave my husband, Bill, and me respect by calling us Mr. and Mrs. Harden. We learned that from our days at Hamlin Junior High School. Long after our school days, he would come by our house to visit. He was a very special guy and a great band director-teacher. We loved him.
