Welcome to the memorial page for

Mary Lou Krenek

December 15, 1927 ~ April 16, 2011 (age 83) 83 Years Old
Mary Lou Hagedorn Krenek, 83, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior on April 16, 2011, after a brief illness. She was a tireless prayer warrior who enriched the lives of all she touched, either in person or through the numerous charities and causes she supported.

Born in Flint, MI, in 1929, Mel, as she was affectionately known by her countless friends and family, was preceded in death by her dear Ken, husband of almost 57 years, and her father and mother, Frederick & Harriette Hagedorn.
After graduating from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio in 1949, she met and married the love of her life, Kenneth C. Krenek, thus becoming an avid Texas Aggie fan and supporter for the rest of her days. A 12th Man Foundation Permanently Endowed Donor, she was also a dedicated Spohn Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer for over 40 years, a member of a Holy Family Guild for over 50 years, a long time member of the Theresians Int’l., and the Bishop's Guild. But for all her seemingly endless interests to which she selflessly dedicated her time and talents, we will always cherish her for her most important role as both a devoted wife and mother, and will forever keep her spirit in our hearts and memories.
She is survived by her 5 beloved children, Robin; Tim, his wife Debbie, and daughter Holly; Beckie; Jeff; Lisa, her husband Kenneth Hedrick, daughters Leslie and Kristen, her husband Brandon, and their children Eli & Beau; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
