Morris was honorably discharged from the Army Air Corps after serving from 1938 to 1945.  He worked alongside his father at Corpus Christi Novelty Company until establishing his own company, Corpus Christi Cigarette Service.
Through years of dedication, Morris was promoted to a 32nd degree Master Mason of the Scottish Rite, Al Amin Temple as was his father, Morris, Sr.  'Junior' will be best remembered for his ready smile and captivating sense of humor.  He was an adventurous traveler making many trips to the South Pacific and Central America.  Morris and his companion, Beth, traveled to all 48 of the lower United States via motor home between 1989 and 2000.  An inveterate tinkerer, he conceived of and crafted numerous devices one of which is recorded at the US patent office.  To help open pull-tab cans, he devised and manufactured a wooden tool to assist fellow arthritis sufferers and gave hundreds away.  He crafted pieces of uncommon beauty from precious and semiprecious stones.  Morris owned a working shrimp boat until a hurricane claimed it. He took great pleasure in fishing the flats around South Texas and rarely returned with less than his limit.
