Paul L. Alvarez, age 63, passed away June 20, 2017. He was born on January 3, 1954 to Roel and Mary Alvarez in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, TX. He graduated from Ray High School in 1972. He married his beloved wife Pat of 41 years on August 16, 1975. Paul L. Alvarez was retired. Paul was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Paul enjoyed spending time at his vacation home in the hill country. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his family, love of the Astros, Bar-B-Queing and eating cookies with his grandson. Paul L. Alvarez is preceded in death by: his mother, father, and brother: Roland. Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife: Pat, sons: Jason and Jacob, daughter: Lisa, daughter-in-law: Becky, son-in-law: David, grandson: Noah, mother-in-law: Mary Ann Ponce, siblings: Lydia Jagger, Roy Alvarez, Joyce and Mario Reyna, Arnold and Mary Alice Alvarez, and Belinda Alvarez, brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy S. and Liz Ponce, Michael S. and Becky Ponce and Nancy and John Perales, childhood best friend: Zeke and Nelda Perez, numerous aunts and uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, numerous friends and beloved dog: Bella. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles. Having the distinguished honor to be pallbearers are: Jason Alvarez, Jacob Alvarez, David Colunga, Roy Alvarez, Arnold Alvarez and Zeke Perez. Honorary pallbearer is Noah Colunga.
