I am so sorry for your loss of your dear loved one. I know I have never had the pleasure of meeting Carmen but I have been effected by the horribe affects of death. I have gained real comfort from the Bible . The one scripture that has really touched me is 2Corthinans 1:3, 4 " the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. " I hope this scripture brings you the same amount of comfort as it has me.
