Words cannot express the sadness and shock at hearing of Cousin Sonny's passing. Memories came back from our growing up together in North Town, McAlester, Oklahoma. My two brothers and I were the same ages as Sonny and his brother, Joe, and sister, Margie. That made the six of us very close as we grew up, until Sonny's family moved to Corpus Christi when he and I were teenagers, about 14 years old. He was lots of fun even when being helped with grammar home work in 8th grade. We also had fun in the 1990's when he and Aline came to the North Town Reunions. Thoughts and Prayers are for all the family. Much Love from Cousin Alice Ann!

Please accept my sincere condolences for your recent loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. I have always received comfort from the Bibles’ word at Philippians 4:7 which reads “and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus”.
I hope you can receive comfort from these words as well. Margo Simmons

Sonny, you were a wonderful cousin/friend. I treasure the memory of your visit to us in Seattle so many years ago and many phone conversations in recent years. Your sense of humor made those talks delightful. Thank you for your service and love for our country. You were a true patriot. You are missed by your cousins and extended family.
